- Payment details: handled by our payment providers. Card numbers are processed by them and are never stored by us.
- When you browse: your device, browser, IP address and the pages you look at, through cookies and similar technology.
- If you sign up to emails: your email address, until you unsubscribe.
Why we use it, and what allows us to
- To take and deliver your order — because we need to, to perform our contract with you.
- To answer your emails and handle returns — the same reason.
- To keep the shop working, prevent fraud and understand what people look at — our legitimate interest in running the business.
- To send you marketing emails — only with your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.
- To keep records of sales — because tax and accounting law requires it.
Who else sees it
Our online shop is hosted by Shopify, who process your data on our behalf. We share delivery details with the suppliers and carriers who pack and carry your parcel, and payment details with our payment providers. Some of them are outside the UK, and where that happens the transfer is covered by the safeguards UK data protection law requires. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
Cookies
The shop uses cookies that are necessary for it to work — remembering your basket, keeping you signed in, keeping checkout secure. It also uses analytics cookies to tell us how the shop is being used. You can block cookies in your browser, though parts of the shop may then stop working properly.
How long we keep it
Order records for six years, because tax law requires it. Marketing contacts until you unsubscribe. Everything else for as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict or stop using it, and ask for it in a portable form. You can object to us using it on the basis of legitimate interests, and you can withdraw consent to marketing at any time. Email and we will reply within one month.
